We are an interdisciplinary cross-faculty research team that is interested in the functional brain organization of cognitive abilities such as language, memory, and attention, from fetal stage to adolescence.
We use functional near-infrared spectroscopy and functional magnetic resonance imaging to study localization, lateralization, and networks of cognitive functions in typical development and in children with neurological diseases. We use standardized and experimental neuropsychological tests to examine cognitive development from infancy to young adulthood. Our aim is to translate basic research into clinical practice in order to improve the quality of live in our little patients.
