EUHA
The European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA) forms a close association of university hospitals in Europe. These hospitals are characterized by excellence in tertiary care, research and education. The aim of EUHA is to establish sustainable healthcare networks in Europe that guarantee optimum quality of care, taking into account the available resources.
Vienna General Hospital (AKH Vienna) and the Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna) form one of a total of ten locations that are members of the EUHA.

Rare Disease Network (RD)
The EUHA Rare Disease Network (RD) aims to work with the European Reference Networks (ERNs) to develop joint solutions to the challenges in the field of rare diseases and to facilitate their implementation. In 2019, Susanne Greber-Platzer, Head of the University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, was appointed by the AKH University Campus as the coordinator for MedUni Vienna/AKH for the Rare Diseases Network.
The network focuses on identifying common challenges in the field of rare diseases, sharing best practices and promoting collaboration in translational and clinical research. It also supports the standardization of RD coding and classification.
