Dear Students,
We are pleased that you are interested in completing a clinical clerkship (Famulatur) at the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. A limited number of clerkship placements are available in the following areas:
• Division of Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine and Neuropediatrics
• Division of Pulmonology, Allergology and Endocrinology
• Division of Pediatric Cardiology
• Division of Nephrology and Gastroenterology
Attendance Hours
Monday to Friday (working days), 08:00–13:00
We offer clerkships of 2, 4, or 6 weeks.
Eligibility
From the 6th semester onwards.

Information for International Students
Students enrolled at universities outside Austria can only be accepted through the ERASMUS+ SMT or SEMP programmes.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept freemover students.
German language skills at B1 level or higher are required.
Proof of Immunity
A completed proof of immunity form must be submitted no later than one month before the start of the clerkship.

Important Information
According to the Legal Department of the Medical University of Vienna, long-term clerkships ("Dauerfamulaturen") are not permitted in Austria.
Clerkships at the Medical University of Vienna must always comprise an even number of weeks, begin on the first working day of the week, and end on the last working day of the week. Clerkships of 15 or 30 days are only possible as part of a 4- or 6-week clerkship.
