The FHkids study focuses on familial hypercholesterolemia
This study has been developed in collaboration with 1st grade primary school classes throughout Austria. Our aim is to screen children early for this inherited disorder of lipid metabolism in order to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases that can occur already in young adulthood.

We warmly invite you to participate in our preventive study. By screening for elevated blood lipids in children, we can intervene early and take appropriate steps such as low-fat diet, physical exercise, and, if necessary, medication.
