The Brain Tumor Center for Children and Adolescents at the University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in Vienna is the largest center for research and treatment of these diseases in the German-speaking world.
Brain tumors are the most common tumors in children and adolescents and are also responsible for the majority of cancer-related deaths in this age group. Since this is not widely known in Austria—unlike other forms of cancer in children and adolescents—one of our goal is to raise awareness for this patient group and highlight the need for research.
With state-of-the-art treatment methods and a dedicated team of specialists, nurses, psychosocial professionals, and therapists, the Department of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at the University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in Vienna is a trusted partner during a difficult time.
