Ward

Level 9

Welcome at level 9

In many cases, children and adolescents need to be admitted to our level 9 ward for a certain period of time to undergo surgery and/or further treatment. As a multidisciplinary team of specially trained nurses, doctors, and psychosocial and educational specialists, it is important to us that you feel well cared for during this time.

In line with our family-centered approach, we view the family as a system that is affected as a whole by the illness. Therefore, we care not only for children and adolescents but also, of course, for their families with great empathy and respect. Flexibility and motivation are our top priorities, allowing us to address specific needs and accommodate wishes. Accordingly, it is possible for a companion to be admitted alongside the child or adolescent. There are no charges for accompanying companions at Level 09 for oncology patients.

During admission, we take the time to gather all important information. Together with the parents or caregivers, we discuss the course of the illness to date, planned examinations, and the next steps. Through targeted continuing education, we as a team continuously expand our professional expertise to offer professional care and treatment based on the latest scientific knowledge.

Daily from 08:00am to 08:00pm

Visits from family members and friends can boost the well-being of the affected family. For this reason, visiting hours have been extended. Caregivers, friends, and siblings—regardless of age—are welcome at any time. Please discuss any exceptions to the visiting hours with the nursing staff.

During visiting hours, a maximum of 2 people may be at the bedside so that your child and other children can get the rest they need and are not overwhelmed.

Please ensure that visitors are in perfect health!
